Old pipes. New emergencies. One call.
Burst pipe, dead water heater, drain that won't clear — we've been fixing Calgary's older homes since 1971. Flat-rate price before we start. No overtime charge, ever.
Why Reeve & Fife
We know what's actually behind that wall
A house built in Killarney in 1962 doesn't plumb like a house built last year, and a national chain's apprentice usually finds that out on your dime. We've spent three generations learning galvanized pipe, cast iron drains, and what Calgary's freeze-thaw cycle does to both.
What we handle
Six things Calgary homeowners call us for
Emergency Plumbing
Burst pipe, sewage backup, no hot water — dispatched 24/7 with no overtime upcharge on nights or weekends.

What actually makes us different
Three generations, one shop in Bridgeland
Founded by Walter Reeve in 1971, now run by his grandson and longtime partner Colm Fife. Same dispatch number since the '80s.
Flat rate, quoted before we start
You know the number before any tool comes out of the truck. No hourly billing, no meter running while we work.
We know pre-1990s Calgary plumbing
Galvanized pipe, cast iron drains, and what a hard freeze-thaw week does to both — daily work for us, not a specialty callout.
No sales pitch for work you don't need
If the fix is a $40 part, we tell you it's a $40 part. We'd rather see you again in five years than oversell you today.
Since 1971
Walter Reeve opened the shop with one truck and a phone line
Walter started Reeve Plumbing out of a Bridgeland garage, mostly repairing the galvanized pipe that every house in the neighborhood had been built with. His grandson took over the business in 2009, brought his friend Colm Fife on as partner, and renamed the shop — but the truck still runs out of the same block, and the job is largely the same one Walter started with.
From the neighborhoods we serve
What people call us about
“Pipe froze and split behind our laundry sink during that cold snap in January. They had someone out in under an hour and didn't touch anything until they'd told me the price.”
Bowness homeowner — frozen pipe repair
“Our house is from 1958 and still had most of the original galvanized supply lines. They walked me through what actually needed replacing this year versus what could wait.”
Killarney homeowner — partial re-pipe
“Camera showed root intrusion in the cast iron out to the city line. Flat rate held even though the job ran longer than expected. That's the part I'd tell anyone about.”
Elbow Park homeowner — drain cleaning
