Hello, I'm Margaux
I Fell in Love With This Work Before I Ever Owned a Proper Camera
I grew up in a family that told stories at the dinner table for hours — who said what, who cried, who couldn't stop laughing. I think that's where this started: an appreciation for the small, specific details that make one family's story different from every other family's.
I studied documentary filmmaking in college, then spent two years assisting a photojournalist before I picked up a camera at my cousin's backyard wedding almost by accident. I haven't stopped since.
My Approach
Documentary First, Portraiture Second
You Won't Be Over-Directed
I'll guide you gently into good light and give you something to do with your hands, but I won't call out fifteen poses in a row. The goal is for you to look like yourselves — because you will, for the rest of your lives, when you look back at these photos.
Beyond the Camera
Vendor Relationships Matter to Me
I've built genuine, long-standing relationships with planners, florists, and venues across the Hudson Valley — which means smoother timelines and fewer surprises on your wedding day.
